The World Telecom Day Conference celebrated India’s 20 years of continuous efforts toward bridging the digital divide and ensuring last-mile connectivity through the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF). The conference felicitated innovators who have been instrumental in shaping the new-age telecom landscape of the country and the village-level entrepreneurs who played an astounding role in proliferating last-mile connectivity, including an exhibition by telecom innovators.
The conference successfully met its goal of bringing together all key stakeholders from Central and State governments, industry representatives, start-ups/innovators, and academia to explore various policies and technological interventions.
