Work of augmentation of satellite bandwidth from 318 Mbps to 1.71 Gbps has been successfully implemented by BSNL on 14.08.2021 despite the second phase of COVID-19.
Augmentation of Bandwidth in Lakshadweep Island
Work of augmentation of satellite bandwidth from 318 Mbps to 1.71 Gbps in Lakshadweep Islands was awarded to BSNL on a nomination basis. The CAPEX of Rs 28.26 crore plus applicable taxes is being funded by USO Fund while OPEX (Satellite Transponder charges) is being funded by the MHA/UT Administration of Lakshadweep Islands.
